Family.
I was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. Sarasota had a little bit of everything, little bit country, little bit city, and little bit beach town. I grew up in a blended family and have seven siblings to claim, all younger than I am. While completing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, I met and eventually married Debra while attending the University of Phoenix here in Tampa. We graduated together and started our family. We now have three children, Caden (19), Cassidy (10), and Chase (4). We all strive to stay close with our extended family, traveling to Sarasota often. We enjoy our time together spending a lot of time in the pool, walks around the neighborhood, and getting out and going on adventures. Most recently, our big adventures has been visiting the Universal Orlando parks with the kids. It provides so much joy to see them experience those things for the first time.
Work.
I joined the United States Army straight out of high school as an all source analyst. I held numerous positions at multiple echelons during my active duty career that culminated in an assignment back home in Tampa, Florida. All in all, I have served on Active Duty for over 10 years and deployed to three different countries. I left full-time military service to pursue my education, new opportunities, and to build a family with some geographic stability. I retired as a Master Sergeant with 20 years of service in total. I have continued my service to the country in other capacities working for the Department of Defense currently doing analytic research and development. Research & analysis has been top responsibility, but my passion is more developing and leading teams towards common goals while helping, coaching, and mentoring some along the way.
FREE TIME.
I graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communication, specializing in Social Media Marketing. I am currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Sports Journalism from UF. Go Gators!
I am a huge sports fan, probably too much so. I have season tickets to the Florida Gators Football team and have always bled blue & orange even before I was an alumni #GatorNation. I am a diehard Miami Dolphins fan, tragically. The franchise has been so strong historically, but most of that was when I was young or before I was born. But I will keep believing that this is the year! #FinsUp! Also a big Miami Heat and Florida Panthers fan. They have all been great teams through the years, except the Dolphins.
